"Volunteers don't get paid, not because they're worthless, but because they're priceless."

Volunteering at Canadian Mental Health Saint John Branch Inc

Canadian Mental Health Association Saint John Branch recognizes the important role volunteers play in our organization and our community.  Without the dedication of these volunteers, many programs offered by the local branch would not be possible.  We truly appreciate the dedication and initiative of our volunteers who unselfishly contribute their time and energy to further our mission.

Volunteering is about giving, contributing and helping other individuals and the community at large; it is working with others to making a meaningful contribution to a better community.

People volunteer for different reasons.  Many want to gain experience, acquire new skills, meet new people or expand their network of contacts.  Others just want to give back to their community, to help someone or to promote a worthwhile activity.  They volunteer because it makes them feel good.  Volunteers of Canadian Mental Health Association Saint John Branch say they volunteer because they recognize the importance of the programs and the overall contribution to the greater Saint John community.

Volunteer Opportunities:  There are a wide variety of opportunities for volunteers at the Canadian Mental Health Association Saint John Branch including such activities as:

  • Fundraising and events
  • Office administration support
  • Program delivery
  • Serving on our Board of Directors or one of our many committees

Canadian Mental Health Association Saint John Branch is anxious to enhance the experience of our volunteers by providing them with opportunities that meet their expectations; supporting the work they perform and recognizing the value volunteers bring to our organization and its program delivery.

For more information on these exciting opportunities, please contact us at 506-633-1705 or email us at cmha@nb.aibn.com.
